Thank You, Pete: Celebrating the Career and Contributions of Peter J. Bulgarelli

For more than seven years, Peter J. Bulgarelli has been the steady voice and steady hand leading Lillibridge Healthcare Services. On May 1, 2026, Pete retired from his role as Executive Vice President, Outpatient Medical & Research at Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) and Chief Executive Officer of Lillibridge Healthcare Services.

We want to take a moment to recognize Pete and everything he has meant to this company.

Pete joined Ventas in 2018 after a 28-year career at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he led the firm's healthcare, life sciences, higher education, and public sector businesses. He arrived at Lillibridge with deep expertise in healthcare and research real estate and an even deeper conviction that the spaces we manage matter. Whether supporting patient care in medical office buildings or advancing research, innovation, and education, Pete understood that our properties play an important role in the missions of the organizations they serve.

Over the course of his tenure, Pete helped Lillibridge grow its portfolio, deepen its relationships with health systems, universities, research institutions, and other leading organizations, and earn some of the most meaningful recognition in our industry. He led the expansion of our energy efficiency program that produced 76 ENERGY STAR certifications in 2025, and he championed the kind of operational discipline that makes every property, whether serving patients, researchers, educators, or healthcare professionals, a place worth coming back to.

Pete's legacy also includes the team he built. He invested in people. He gave leaders room to grow into their roles, asked good questions, and made it clear that excellence at Lillibridge was a shared project. The depth of leadership across our property management, leasing, asset management, and finance functions reflects years of his thoughtful mentorship, and it is the reason this transition feels like steady ground.

Pete's commitment to service, collaboration, and excellence has positioned the company well for the future. Following his retirement, Andrew L. Wattula has been appointed Executive Vice President, Outpatient Medical & Research at Ventas and Chief Executive Officer of Lillibridge Healthcare Services, succeeding Pete in the role. Andrew will build on the strong foundation Pete established while continuing to drive growth and excellence across Lillibridge's medical office and research portfolio.

Reflecting on his time at Lillibridge, Pete shared: "It has been a privilege to work alongside such talented and committed colleagues at Ventas and Lillibridge. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together on behalf of our clients and partners, in support of their important missions. As I transition to retirement, I am confident in the outstanding leaders on our team who are focused on serving our clients and taking the business forward to deliver excellence."
