St. Joseph MOB opens in Reading, Pa.
LILLIBRIDGE TEAM COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITY IN ONLY SEVEN MONTHS
READING, Pa., April 18, 2007 — In order to coincide as closely as possible with the opening of the new St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pa., Lillibridge completed the St. Joseph Medical Office Building for client St. Joseph Regional Health Network in a mere seven months.
"We were challenged with a very short timetable for this medical office building because it was designed to be attached to a new hospital, which opened in November of 2006," says John Westmoreland, AIA, Senior Project Director, Lillibridge. "Our team completed a project that should have taken 14 months in half that time, and we're very proud of the results."
The three-story, 67,000 square foot St. Joseph Medical Office Building is attached to the medical center on three levels.
"This new medical office facility complements the state-of-the-art hospital," says Phil Taylor, Senior Vice President, Lillibridge. "Some of the many highlights of the facility include a new Cancer Center, a Vein Center and a physician practice devoted to women's services. The hospital also relocated a number of departments to the building."
Located at 2494 Bernville Road in Reading, the St. Joseph Medical Office Building is currently 65 percent leased. Some of the current tenants include: Berks Vascular Institute PC; Ganas, Gurski, Hasson Women's Services; Bornemann Cardiothoracic Associates; Bornemann Neurology; Bornemann OB/GYN Associates; and Keystone Oncology Associates.
