Lillibridge completes construction on second MOB for St. Peter's Hospital
EXPANDED ON-CAMPUS MEDICAL CARE CONVENIENT FOR PHYSICIANS AND RESIDENTS
CHICAGO IL and HELENA MT, Jan-21, 2009 – Chicago-based Lillibridge, one of the nation's largest private healthcare real estate firms has completed work on the 80,000 square foot St. Peter's Medical Group, its second on-campus medical office building (MOB) project for St. Peter's Hospital of Helena.
The new MOB makes medical care more convenient for St. Peter's physicians and the residents of Helena. The building has allowed St. Peter's to consolidate primary care physicians, relocating them so they are adjacent to the hospital. Three primary care groups and three specialists formerly housed in various locations around the city of Helena are now tenants in the centrally-located facility.
St. Peter's Hospital and Lillibridge previously worked together in 1998 on the development of the Maria Dean Medical Office Building which is also located on the campus.
"We worked with Lillibridge on our first on-campus MOB ten years ago," says John Solheim, CEO and President of St. Peter's Hospital, "and once again they were extremely committed to our project and true to their word. They went out of their way to get the building done on time. We trust Lillibridge with our development projects because of their experience in healthcare real estate. Their expertise is very evident in this wonderful new facility."
The three-story MOB houses some of the hospital's primary care clinics under the St. Peter's Medical Group name, including the Family Health Clinic, Hawkins-Lindstrom Clinic, Internal Medicine Associates, and Medical Specialists of Helena. Patient-friendly features of the $15 million project include in-house laboratory services, digital X-ray, an outpatient pharmacy, and a pneumatic tube to the main hospital building. The facility also provides convenient office space for the hospital's administrative functions.
"This new MOB on the St. Peter's campus is a great benefit to the residents of Helena and the hospital," says Al Seeley, Executive Vice President, Lillibridge. "The St. Peter's Medical Group will greatly improve patient care, and will also aid in the recruitment of new doctors for the community. It was a pleasure working with the people at St. Peter's again."
