Lillibridge MOB wins BOMA's prestigious International TOBY Award

SETON NORTHWEST HEALTH PLAZA AWARDED COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE'S TOP HONOR

CHICAGO IL and AUSTIN TX, Jun-25, 2008 –  Having been previously awarded local and regional TOBY Awards, Seton Northwest Health Plaza, owned and managed by Chicago-based Lillibridge,  has been awarded the prestigious International TOBY Award (The Office Building of the Year) from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).  The trophy was presented June 24 at the BOMA International North American Commercial Real Estate Congress and the Office Building Show in Denver.

In March, Seton Northwest Health Plaza which is located in Austin, Texas, was named the winner of the 2008 local TOBY Award for the best medical office building (MOB). In April, the building gained even more prestige when it won the TOBY Award for the Southwest Regional Conference. The Lillibridge property then went on to win commercial real estate's highest honor in the annual International BOMA competition.

"A staff of six worked very hard for over a year to prepare for our TOBY applications," says Becky Dickerson, General Manager, Lillibridge. "The BOMA judges liked the way our team improved our building and gave us high marks on our building description and Energy Star involvement. I'm proud of the way everyone worked together as a team to help win this award. Known for its high standards and tough competition, we were very excited to win the International TOBY."

Seton Northwest Health Plaza is a 5-story, 110,000 square foot medical facility that opened in 1988. Located at 11111 Research Boulevard, the building features skylights and an open atrium. The facility is connected to Seton Northwest Hospital by two enclosed corridors, providing convenient access for patients and physicians. An exposed glass wall in each passenger elevator provides visitors with an impressive view of the atrium.

"Winning the 2008 International TOBY Award is a great accomplishment," says Lillibridge Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Todd W. Lillibridge. "In 2007 Becky Dickerson and her team also won a TOBY Award for our Medical Park Tower Building, and in 2005 the Galter Ambulatory Care Pavilion that we managed for Northwestern Memorial Hospital was awarded the International TOBY Award. We are very proud of our people and our properties."

The International TOBY Award was created in 1985 and is the most prestigious and comprehensive evaluation in the commercial real estate profession. Described as the "Academy Award" for office buildings, the TOBY Award recognizes excellence in office building management and operations worldwide. All facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated during the judging process including tenant relations, community impact and employee programs. Detailed property inspections, floor plans, building standards and photographs are also judged as part of the competition.
