Construction starts on Florida Hospital Medical Pavilion
LILLIBRIDGE IS CHOSEN BY FLORIDA HOSPITAL HEARTLAND DIVISION TO
DEVELOP AND MANAGE NEW MOB IN SEBRING, FLA.
CHICAGO and SEBRING, Fla., Aug. 15, 2007 – The residents of Sebring, Fla., will soon have expanded medical services in a new medical office building (MOB) that will be adjacent to Florida Hospital.
Lillibridge is developing the two-story, 40,517 square foot building which will be the first MOB on the Sebring campus. The Florida Hospital Medical Pavilion will be located at 4020 Sun ‘n Lake Blvd., and is scheduled for occupancy in spring 2008.
“Lillibridge has been great to work with on the Florida Hospital Medical Pavilion,” says John Negley, Assistant VP - Community Relations at Florida Hospital Heartland Division. “They are experts in the business of developing medical office buildings, which is why we have such a good working relationship.”
Lillibridge was awarded the project because of the health system’s satisfaction with the jobs that they have done previously, including Celebration, a Disney master-planned development project. The two companies are also working on many other MOB projects, including East Orlando and Kissimmee, Fla., and have several others under development.
Florida Hospital needed more medical office space on the hospital campus to satisfy increasing healthcare demands in this fast-growing area of the state. Included in the building will be an ambulatory surgery center which is a joint venture between physicians and the hospital, and a large OB-GYN practice. The design of the MOB complements the existing structures on the Sebring campus, including the hospital’s recently expanded south wing.
“We’ve had a good relationship with Florida Hospital for many years, and we’re currently working with them on quite a few projects at their other campuses,” says Kerry McCormick, VP of Development at Lillibridge. “We were excited to be named as both the developer and the property manager of the Florida Hospital Medical Pavilion.”
